Jason Mraz and the Nobel Peace Prize

mraznobel1No, Jason didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize, despite his travels around the world to serenade people about love and gratitude and all that. The prize went to Martti Ahtisaari, “for his important efforts, on several continents and over more than three decades, to resolve international conflicts.” Well done, Martti.

Jason did, however, perform at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in Oslo, Norway, and he didn’t play “I’m Yours”! Shocking!

Take a look at him singing “A Beautiful Mess” at the December 11th performance, accompanied by a full orchestra. It’s a great sound for him, although I still prefer a stripped-down Mraz, just him and a guitar.

Kind and courteous,

Jason deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for his awesomeness ALONE. That said, I loved his performance. I agree with you in that I also love J best when it’s just him and “Freshness” and no one else. My all-time fave performance of “Beautiful Mess” is on youtube. He’s performing in Paris in what looks like a public library or something and it’s just him playing an acoustic set and it’s absolutely breathtaking. He’s wearing a light blue t-shirt, jeans, BAREFOOT and dons a knitted stocking cap. It’s the most soulful performance and just about brings me to tears. I LOVE IT!!! Merry Christmas 🙂

actually he DID play I’m Yours, Lisa.

Instead of the beautiful Beautiful Mess performance, the show broadcasted on Australian TV had the I’m Yours performance. He must’ve done two or more songs during the show and the editorial office went crazy with it.

and i was so looking forward to watching the orchestrated Beautiful Mess on High Def…

anyone noticed the well dressed Toca? 🙂
